Hi, I'm Amanda

Facilitator, teacher, consultant, advisor, and team coach on a mission to make everybody fully powerful at work.

I work with senior leadership teams because they have the power to improve everybody’s experience at work. If you're winning as a Leadership Team, everybody wins.

I work with functional teams to ensure the progress you make together at the senior leadership level takes hold throughout the organization.

I work with your entire staff by facilitating intentional, meaningful and researched ways to learn, connect, and realign as a team.

Together we build capacity to share ownership for, and get, great results throughout your organization.

Is your senior leadership team meeting but not making the progress you know is possible?

Is this pattern repeating itself at the department level?

Are you spending too much energy managing your direct reports to make up for a lack of alignment at the organizational level?

Those are costly--and fixable--problems.

It's time to get back to winning. Remember what winning looks like?

  • Making steady progress you can feel as a team.

  • Each person on the team playing to their strengths and making their unique contribution as organizational leaders.

  • Telling your Board and funders that you’ve met your milestones.

  • Getting to impact with ease.

  • Looking forward to that bi-weekly Leadership Team meeting.

  • Hosting an annual retreat that gets folks energized, refocused and clear about how they contribute to your bigger goals.

Let's get you back to winning.

To do this your teams needs thoughtful, well-designed moments of learning, connection, and realignment.

What my clients say

"We’ve had the sheer privilege to work with Amanda through team building and strategic planning. In both aspects of our work together, Amanda brought clarity to the muddled, motivation to the weary, and a compassionate approach to charting new directions.
Amanda built trust with each person on our team, allowing her to work across and within teams seamlessly.       I would clone Amanda if it were possible!"

Set up your teams to do their best work yet...

...by moving from collaboration chaos to high energy alignment

People coming together to make decisions, solve a problem, agree on a future vision or just get work done requires collaboration.

But collaboration is hard, and you’ve probably found that your ways of doing it don’t always work.

Your team circles around the same issue but is unable to make decisions, meets but does not meet objectives, and becomes frustrated that ineffective meetings are getting in the way of “the real work.”

This extends to outside your organization, when your staff convenes your members, clients, stakeholders, policymakers or grantees without having the skills they need to do so effectively.

It doesn't have to be this way. There's a science behind collaboration that, when combined with artful facilitation, can get your team "unstuck" and back to winning.

I design and facilitate experiences for teams looking to make big progress in a lot less time, in person and remotely.

Winning requires going together.

Underneath the fits and starts, the progress that isn't sustained, or the desire to try the next shiny thing hoping it's what your team needs to make progress, is a different need.

Truly shared ownership for great results.
Modeled by the Leadership Team and shared at every level of the organization.

Building shared ownership for getting great results requires:
  • Clear and shared goals, expectations and values about where you are going and how you do your work together

  • Clarity for the team and each individual about how they are meant to contribute to organizational goals and expectations

  • The ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative way

  • Psychologically safe spaces

  • A commitment to giving and receiving masterful feedback

  • Empathy and care for one another as humans; mutual accountability to one another as peers

  • Continuous improvement of the culture that enables all of the above

And while this list might look daunting, your team can make real progress in two intensive days together. We start by assessing how effectively your teams are sharing ownership for getting great results and then tailor the experience from there.
